Cleaning of marble, limestone and granite can be undertaken, usually in the context of plinths and architectural features rather than entire facades. We can remove all dirt, grime and plant growth that may be staining the stone and hiding its true colour. Also, we can remove hard black sulphide crust and carbonaceous soiling. Copper staining from corrosion of sculptures can be hard to remove entirely; however we have many years experience with poultice cleaning and good results can often be achieved. We can remove graffiti carefully and safely with particular emphasis on objects that require sensitive methods. |
