Our policy of minimal intervention is always one that we advise our clients. However, if the visual aspect of the object is of prime importance, then we aim to restore sympathetically, keeping the statue's provenance in mind.

Once any remedial work has been completed, we would always recommend that a maintenance programe is implemented. Maintenance is the most important factor in exterior sculptural conservation, especially in today's atmospheric conditions. The removal of every day dirt and grime and the regular waxing of bronze monuments ensures not only aesthetic longevity, but also means that any remedial costs are not wasted.
